Royal Canin Skin Hairball is a special food for sterilized cats with hairball problems and / or a dull, unhealthy coat. Revitalizes the skin and prevents hairballs.
Cats cleanse themselves by licking their body clean with their tongue which has tiny keratin hooks that scrape off any irregularities. Of course, this cleaning process comes with a few less favorable side effects. Due to the high amount of hair being taken in by the cat, hairballs form in their gut system which they can not process in a normal fashion. This is why cats cough up hairballs and potentially, your cat may be experiencing way too much of this unfortunate event due to an inefficient digestive system. Royal Canin Skin Hairball uses psyllium and insoluble fibres to trap hair and keep it in check. It also prevents faecal matter present in the ingested hair to irritate the digestive tract as it passes through. Moreover, this condition often comes in tandem with a dull skin due to excessive water loss through the pores. Royal Canin Skin Hairball uses ingredients that strengthen the skin barrier and do not allow excessive water loss to occur. Royal Canin Skin Hairball, effective in its simplicity.
