Hill's Prescription Diet u/d dissolves urate, oxalate and cystine urolites in dogs and reduces the risk of relapse thanks to a unique mix of ingredients.
Some dogs are reluctant to drink a sufficient amount or just have a hereditary cause of their urinary and kidney disorders. One of these 
problems that can occur is the formation of crystals in the urinary tract or the kidneys. These form by accumulating waste residuals from their food which their kidneys are unable to efficiently dissolve due to lack of fluids or other probable causes. Hill's Prescription Diet u/d reduces the amount of crystal formation that occurs in their bodies (Urate-, Oxalate- and cystine uroliths are reduced). The high quality protein are low in quantity to reduce the residual waste, thus reducing the workload of the kidneys. Less sodiumchloride is added to the mixture to benefit a retention of fluid. This in turn will help your kidneys to flush out crystals and protect the cardiovascular system in dogs that have early heart diseases.
Hill's Prescription Diet u/d is a complete diet to be administered solely. To acquaint the dog with the food, mix the old food with the new and gradually phase out the old food.
