Royal Canin Urinary LP is a special complete dog food to prevent kidney stones, morespecifically urate stones. Purine is a natural ingredient that excretes a lot of uric acid as a waste product. If the amount of uric acid reaches critical amounts, they can form urate crystals that could endanger your dog's health. Both joints and kidneys are possible victims to these crystals. Royal Canin Urinary LP uses protein sources that are known to have a low purine content. This will prevent any urate crystals from forming and keep your dogs urinary tract, kidney stones and joints functioning properly, to play another day.
